<p>Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking an EMS Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of this Electric Transmission EMS Replacement.</p> <p>Summary: This leading energy and utility provider is undertaking a major initiative to replace its existing Energy Management System (EMS) supporting electric transmission operations. This strategic program will modernize real-time grid monitoring and control capabilities, strengthen system reliability, and align with the organization's long-term digital transformation roadmap.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the Electric Transmission EMS replacement project - including planning, design, integration, testing, and deployment </li><li>Partner with internal stakeholders across Transmission Operations, IT/OT, Engineering, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment and delivery of business outcomes </li><li>Oversee vendor selection, contract management, and delivery performance, including system integrators and software providers </li><li>Coordinate integration with existing systems such as SCADA, ADMS, OMS, and market operations platforms </li><li>Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, risk management plans, and governance structures </li><li>Manage project financials - including budgeting, forecasting, vendor spend tracking, and financial reporting to ensure alignment with program funding and cost targets </li><li>Ensure compliance with NERC/CIP, cybersecurity, and reliability standards throughout the program </li><li>Lead steering committee reporting, program updates, and stakeholder communications </li><li>Support testing, training, cutover, and operational readiness to ensure a seamless transition to the new EMS environment </li><li>Drive change management and user adoption within transmission operations and control center teams* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed </li><li>Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus </li></ul>
