Please note pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.</p> <p>The Department of Community Resources (DCR) provides individuals and families with immediate access to a diverse range of Health & Human Services programs and community partner services in Community Resource Centers throughout Mecklenburg County. Services include Child Support, Employment Assistance, Energy Assistance, Food & Nutrition Services, Housing Assistance, Medicaid, and the MeckSuccess program.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Management Analyst position is responsible for data cleaning and data management, analysis, and performance reporting for our internal Health & Human Services programs and vendor partners. This position may also share system administrator duties for DCR's custom-built Salesforce platform, including responsibility for tasks such as user management, configuration changes, and building reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in communication, data analysis, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI; proficiency in database management; and an understanding of Salesforce (or similar customer relationship management database).</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Conducts research and analysis and advises management on results. </li><li>Analyzes financial and other data, including revenue, expenditure, customer, resource centers, and employment reports. </li><li>Works under the guidance of department management on strategic projects to include assisting in the establishment of goals and objectives. </li><li>Responds to requests from State, County, local municipality government, or community stakeholders. </li><li>Performs Salesforce system administrator duties such as assigning licenses, adjusting permissions, creating and editing fields, and building reports and dashboards. </li><li>Recommends necessary adjustments to department procedures. </li><li>Manages various projects aligned with Strategic Business Plan goals. </li><li>Gathers and organizes information about the problem to be solved or the procedure to be improved. </li><li>Interviews personnel and conducts on-site observations to determine the methods, equipment, and personnel that will be needed. </li><li>Develops solutions or alternative practices. </li><li>Recommends new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. </li><li>Make recommendations to management through presentations or written reports. </li><li>Confers with managers to ensure that the changes are working. </li></ul> <p>Mecklenburg County Department of Community Resources: Department employees may be required to respond in cases of urgent and/or emergent events that require public health interventions. Employees may be trained for and assigned duties unrelated to their regular work; work outside normal business hours and workdays and/or in a different work location may be required. Emergency events include, but are not limited to, communicable disease outbreaks, severe weather situations (e.g. snow or ice storms, tornados, hurricanes), natural disasters (e.g. earthquakes), fire, or power outages, and acts of terrorism. Responsibilities may include service on the emergency management team on a two-year rotating cycle.</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>301 Billingsley Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211</p> <p>10101 David Taylor Drive, Charlotte, NC 28262</p> <p>Other locations as needed</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Minimum of two years of experience in a related field</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Statistics, Data Analysis, or a related field.</p> <p>Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes</p> <p>Licenses and Certifications</p> <ul> <li>May require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License </li><li>May require an Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of five years of quantitative and qualitative data analysis. </li><li>Minimum three years of project management. </li><li>Experience with Salesforce or similar database system. </li><li>Practiced in data visualization and proficient in PowerBI. </li><li>Knowledge of Health and Human Services programs. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Training and experience in applying research methodology and performing statistical analysis. </li><li>Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy. </li><li>Strong analytical and mathematical abilities. </li><li>Highly organized and capable of managing complex tasks simultaneously. </li><li>Able to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers. </li><li>Able to work under minimal supervision. </li><li>Knowledge of performance management concepts. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services;
