This individual will coordinate work within the department as well as with other departments, complying with operating policies and procedures established for the mortgage origination function.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Serves as a member of the sales "team" and works with other members of the sales/service team in striving to increase sales opportunities. </li><li>Meets with customers to take applications and issue required disclosures, facilitates underwriting and approval process, and attends loan closings. </li><li>Jointly establishes quantitative sales objectives, with assigned supervisor, on an annual basis; this activity to be done in conjunction with the Lending Division's annual marketing/sales plan; achieves these objectives. </li><li>Completes loan applications and coordinates the loan process, loan approval, etc. and attends loan closings. </li><li>Maintains a current knowledge of laws and regulations which impact mortgage services. </li><li>Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy. </li><li>Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information. </li><li>Maintains appropriate records and provides assigned reports. </li><li>Develops relationships with customers, employees, realtors, builders, and community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business. </li><li>Meets with prospective customers to present financial services and to ascertain needs; maintains detailed records of meetings with prospective customers. </li><li>Obtains information from customers; develops and presents mortgage product recommendations based on customer's needs. </li><li>Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities. </li><li>Plays an active role in protecting the organization and its customers against fraud by incorporating risk awareness and prevention into daily responsibilities. </li></ul> <p>Education & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A B.S. or B.A. degree in a business-related field preferred. </li><li>A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions required. </li></ul> <p>Skill(s)</p> <p>Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills; thorough knowledge of current mortgage lending regulations; a working knowledge of operating policies and procedures which impact mortgage loan services; a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all mortgage loan products and services; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills; valid driver's license is required.</p> <p>Equipment/Machines</p> <ul> <li>Automobile </li><li>Telephone </li><li>PC/Computer keyboard </li><li>Printer </li><li>Calculator </li><li>Fax machine </li><li>Copy machine </li></ul> <p>Pay Transparency</p> <p>We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry.
