<p>Overview</p> <p>We're looking for a detail-oriented Scheduler to coordinate patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests, and treatments. This role supports patients, families, and physicians throughout the scheduling process and ensures all physician orders are accurately received and documented. Your work will help deliver a seamless experience and efficient clinic operations.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, hospital, and office-based procedures. </li><li>Provide instructions and confirmations for procedures; send follow-up communications. </li><li>Coordinate with departments and input/update scheduling systems. </li><li>Review and adjust physician schedules; screen incoming faxes and referral forms. </li><li>Obtain authorizations for scheduled procedures and manage patient calls. </li><li>Support front office operations and assist with scheduling for specialized procedures (e.g., cardiac catheterizations, arrhythmia procedures, surgeries, imaging, CRNA scheduling). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>6 months-1 year of related experience preferred. </li><li>Hospital, clinical, and office-based scheduling experience is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Professional telephone etiquette and strong communication skills. </li><li>Knowledge of insurance authorization procedures and medical terminology. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Office 365. </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Compensation</p> <p>Take great care of the patient, every day and every way.TM At Pediatrix & Obstetrix, that's not only our motto at work each day; it's also how we view our employees and their families.
