<p>Westminster University</p> <p>Testing and Tutoring Coordinator</p> <p>(10-month position with some summer availability)</p> <p>Benefits: Full benefits provided during the 10-month employment period.</p> <p>Summer Benefits Eligibility: To be determined.</p> <p>Duration: Full-time, 10-month position with possible summer availability, 2 to 3 days per week.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Testing and Tutoring Coordinator supports the testing and tutoring needs within the Westminster University Testing Center. This position includes office management, coordination and supervision of tutoring and testing staff, liaising with faculty and staff, administering and proctoring exams, and assisting with administrative duties related to student success and retention efforts. Reporting to the Director of Student Disability Services and Testing Center, the coordinator plays a key role in fostering student success by ensuring access, support, and inclusion for students using the testing center and tutoring services.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Testing and Office Coordination:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the administration and proctoring of all exams at the Testing Center including 3rd-party exams (i.e. CLEP and FLATS), ensuring compliance with University and test agency policies for the security and confidentiality of testing records, including adherence to FERPA. </li><li>Collaborate with the supervisor to develop and update testing services, policies, and procedures to meet evolving demands. </li><li>Schedule and publicize Testing Center services, effectively communicate program policies and procedures to the campus and community, and maintain the integrity of the testing environment. </li><li>Supervise, mentor, schedule, and direct the work of Testing Center staff, including hiring and supervising work-study personnel. </li><li>Maintain Testing Center data, including the number of students tested, types of exams administered, and other relevant data. Prepare monthly and annual reports, providing recommendations for staffing and programming adjustments as needed. </li></ul> <p>Tutoring Program Management:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the recruitment, selection, training, and ongoing support of tutors to ensure the delivery of high-quality tutoring services. </li><li>Develop and maintain tutoring resources, including creating training materials and online content to enhance tutor effectiveness and support student learning. </li><li>Collect and analyze data related to tutoring services to assess effectiveness and implement improvements. </li><li>Support retention initiatives, graduation efforts, and other university-related activities as needed. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with at least one year of professional experience. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adhere to project timelines. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience tutoring or working with students in an academic setting. </li><li>Experience in a college or university environment. </li></ul> <p>This position is an integral part of the student success and retention initiatives at Westminster University, offering a unique opportunity to support both testing and tutoring services to ensure a high-quality student experience.</p> <p>Diversity and Inclusion:</p> <p>Promote an inclusive Westminster through demonstration of the commitments include in the Westminster University Diversity Statement.
