<p>Job Announcement:</p> <p>CITY OF GROTON</p> <p>NOW HIRING FOR THE POSITION OF</p> <p>Certified Police Officer Salary - $69,879.42 to $84,853.58 Effective 7/1/2024</p> <p>The City of Groton Police Department is seeking POSTC certified police officers or Connecticut State Troopers who have retired in good standing and who are eligible for lateral or comparative POST certification for the position of Police Officer. The candidate will be required to successfully complete a written exam, physical agility test, oral interview, thorough background investigation, psychological, polygraph and physical exam. The candidate must possess and maintain as a condition of employment a valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record. A copy of the current POST certification if applicable must accompany the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
