This individual works closely with sales teams, customers, and internal product definers, systems& apps engineers to not only drive business and marketing activities, but also influence the direction of product development strategy and execution. It is important to have a good understanding of the market segments, product offering, and customers' needs to tailor product promotion and win business. This individual will work with Field & Factory Application Engineers, Sales, Product marketing team member, and Marketing Communications to ensure the timely and successful launch of new products into the marketplace. Strategic involvement includes management alignment with customers, product definition, market & competitive analysis, strategic business and customer opportunity management with revenue tracking and forecasting as well as key product design-in activities. Tactical responsibility includes new product releases, advertising, and marketing collateral. The business Manager role will be involved in all important business inquiries and business development for MPS products.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Reports to Director of Product Marketing in Memory/Storage </li><li>Business Driving & Business Management </li><li>Manage and oversee the development of a team of engineers </li><li>Product Positioning/promotion and winning strategy </li><li>Customer visits, engagement, and management alignment strategy </li><li>Competitive analysis </li><li>Pricing </li><li>Troubleshooting issues and problem-solving </li><li>New Product Definition </li><li>New Product Launch </li><li>Q & A from the field and customers </li><li>Promotion of the products through advertising, webinars, editorials, written articles and other collateral materials </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Background in power ICs, sales/marketing/applications of Power Management ICs </li><li>Experience with enterprise SSD/storage market </li><li>5-10+ years experience in Marketing / Applications within an Analog IC Company </li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead/influence and build collaboration with cross-functional team members </li><li>Ability to motivate department efforts to accomplish goals </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Demonstrate ability to successfully bring products to market </li><li>Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, start-up environment </li><li>BSEE or equivalent required </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <p>San Jose, CA</p> <p>MPS offers a comprehensive benefits package.
