<p>Qualifications:</p> <p>1.Ability to maintain and clean the Tahanto Regional Middle High School. 2.Knowledge of appropriate sanitation and basic health procedures. 3.Ability to utilize cleaning and maintenance equipment. 4.Ability to perform basic building repairs. 5.Ability to follow directions. 6.Ability to lift items up to seventy-five pounds. 7.Knowledge of alarm systems and assist with building security. 8.Ability to safely utilize chemicals in cleaning and maintenance procedures. 9.Ability to stand for long periods of time. 10.Ability to work in a school environment and communicate with school personnel. 11.Ability to learn basic system maintenance or demonstrate aptitude for such. 12.Ability to work indoors and outdoors as deemed necessary and appropriate. 13.Maintain external grounds around the building as directed.</p> <ol start="14"> <li>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Facilities manager may find appropriate and acceptable. </li></ol> <p>Reports to: Facilities Manager</p> <p>Job Goal: To provide students, staff and the Tahanto community with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient school. The position is considered as essential personnel. Must report when asked by the Facilities manager to assist in snow removal and during emergency situations overnight or early morning.</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities: 1.Keep building and grounds including sidewalks and play areas neat and clean at all times. 2.Assist in shoveling or treating sidewalks and entrance areas. 3.Assist with set ups and break down of functions 4.Maintain all floor areas including stripping and waxing tile and/or linoleum floors and steam clean and vacuum rug areas. 5.Maintain grounds as to mowing, weed whacking and athletic field lining for outdoor sports events. 6.Clean restrooms 7.Wash windows 8.Set up for lunch, Empty trash in between lunches and wash all floors after lunch 9.Empty trash in the kitchen, Sweep and mop kitchen</p> <ol start="10"> <li>Report immediately vandalism and damage to Facilities manager </li><li>Report need for major repairs to Facilities manager </li><li>Remain on school premises during work hours and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized. 13.Change lights.. </li><li>Empty all rubbish and keep grounds around the building free of rubbish. </li><li>Make such building repairs as directed or known to him/her 14.Comply with all local, state and federal laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, chemicals, rubbish and waste. </li><li>Perform such other tasks and duties as the Principal or the Facilities Manager may from time to time assign. </li></ol>
