EO/AA</p> <p>The incumbent serves as a leader with overall responsibility for software analysis and design, application and system installation and implementation; formulates system scope and design objectives through analysis and research to configure vendor maintained systems or develop or modify in house systems. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.</p> <p>Corporate Overview: The University of Utah is a Level 1 Trauma Center and is nationally ranked and recognized for our academic research, quality standards and overall patient experience. Our five hospitals and eleven clinics provide excellence in our comprehensive services, medical advancement, and overall patient outcomes.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Participates in meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates. Presents on project and operational updates as requested. </li><li>Ensures quality outcome and assesses integrated impact. Comprehends complex instructions and is competent in assigned applications. Performs routine system maintenance tasks as needed. </li><li>Resolves incidents and work orders work according to agreed upon SLA's and assigned timelines. Completes project tasks on time with quality outcomes. Mentors junior analysts with issue resolution and routine build tasks. </li><li>Documents data elements, data movement, interfacing applications and shared data elements. Develops process controls, implements security processes for supported applications. Comprehension of application integration points and master files. </li><li>Builds, tests, and troubleshoot complex application settings / features with minimal guideance. Analysis considers IT standards, technical requirements and ensures the system meets business requirements. Documents complete testing plans to validate system build. </li><li>Performs intake of information regarding potential system enhancements. Researches and analyzes new functionality including alternative solutions and recommends options to stakeholders and governance for prioritization and approval. Assists with all aspects of implementation lifecycle. </li><li>May have responsibilities that include duties related to project analysis and planning, small to medium project management, along with daily operational activities associated with the assigned systems, applications and projects. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge / Skills / Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Must be a technical expert in areas subject matter demonstrated by documented experience in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation/implementation and support of software applications and systems. </li><li>Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work under high stress conditions in a changing environment. </li><li>Flexibility in accepting assignments, including on call and overtime activities. </li><li>Organizational and analytical skills, ability to prioritize. </li><li>Strong technical management and technical problem resolution skills. </li><li>Knowledge of operational healthcare hospital workflows. </li><li>Knowledge of system configuration, data tools and concepts, techniques, industry best practices, tools and standards. </li><li>Proficient in executing application build and testing for assigned applications. </li><li>Advance SQL and PL/SQL skills. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required for level I</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalency. </li></ul> <p>Required for level II</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Clinical Discipline or equivalency. </li></ul> <p>Required for level III</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Clinical Discipline or equivalency. </li><li>Plus 3 years in programming and systems analysis with proven prior experience in systems application process and workflow analysis. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (Preferred)</p> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Demands</p> <p>Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.</p> <ul> <li>This is a sedentary position that may exert up to 10 pounds and may lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
