Administer and supervise all school operations. Provide educational leadership to staff and students. Support and provide a safe and secure learning environment. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Currently holds or is immediately eligible for Maryland State Department of Education Professional Certificate with Administrator II endorsement. </li><li>Documented successful experience in a school administrator, school-based leadership, or central office role. </li><li>Has three (3) years of documented successful classroom teaching or equivalent experience. </li><li>Experience in utilizing data to facilitate and support decision-making. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills that ensure effective teambuilding. </li><li>Demonstrated success in identifying, growing, and leveraging the potential of staff and teams. </li><li>Ability to manage and monitor a school financial budget. </li><li>Effectively prioritizes and responds quickly to competing demands, especially in times of crisis. </li><li>Possess strong conflict resolution and verbal de-escalation skills. </li><li>Ability to effectively apply knowledge of best practices and educational research. </li><li>Understands universal design for learning, exemplary instructional strategies, and school schedules. </li><li>Ability to work extended workdays, including evenings and weekends, as necessary. </li><li>Must have regular and predictable attendance. </li><li>Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Holds a Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline and/or education field such as: Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Special Education </li></ul> <p>Role Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and oversee staffing models, ensuring recruitment of qualified educators, therapists, and medical personnel. </li><li>Manage operational planning, including facility readiness and program logistics. </li><li>Build partnerships with universities, medical providers, and community organizations to implement and sustain evidence-based practices. </li><li>Serve as the primary liaison between the therapeutic lab school, WCPS leadership, and external stakeholders. </li><li>Create multidisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure coordinated care for each student. </li><li>Effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents/guardians, and members of the school community. </li><li>Identify behavioral, social, and emotional educational needs of students referred using appropriate assessment measures. </li><li>Establish, maintain, and oversee data measurement and collection systems for students receiving behavior or academic interventions and monitor fidelity of implementation. </li><li>Coordinate and conduct staff development activities and in-service workshops for school personnel and community partners, including the provision of ongoing job-embedded training. </li><li>Oversee all aspects of a school culture to promote student achievement and an effective professional learning community. </li><li>Oversee the supervision and evaluation of staff effectiveness for high-quality teaching and learning. </li><li>Provide leadership and support to school staff through regular classroom visits, conferences, and meetings. </li><li>Hire and support effective teacher personnel. </li><li>Ensure the success of every student by acting in an ethical manner with integrity and fairness. </li><li>Provide staff with focused, sustained, and research-based professional development. </li><li>Attend and contribute to professional meetings. </li><li>Utilize a variety of data in the development of the school improvement plan. </li><li>Assume specific responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership. </li><li>Participate in interagency activities that support program implementation. </li><li>Attend training and professional learning related to grant implementation, including required reporting. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Factors and Physical/Mental Requirements</p> <p>The Environmental Factors and Physical/Mental demands represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
