Here you can make an impact on the world around you and accelerate your career in areas that energize and excite you.</p> <p>Primary Purpose:</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Branch Operations Manager, the Branch Operations Supervisor (BOS) ll is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of the branch, including supervision of the employees, facility, budget and executing operations related activities in a large facility or in a facility without a BOM.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Conducts daily pre-shift meetings, communicates expectations to employees and maintains a supervisory presence throughout the branch. </li><li>Direct supervision for Material Handlers, Tank Farm Workers, Chemists and/or Lab Technicians. May supervise other positions as assigned. </li><li>Responsible for the daily safe, efficient, legal and economical operations of assigned branch, including transportation, warehouse and tank farm. </li><li>Participates in inspections from outside agencies (DOT,EPA,FDA,DHS). </li><li>Facilitates compliance to corporate health, safety, and environmental affairs policies, including completion of all required training, documentation and record keeping. </li><li>Supports sales efforts consistent with corporate and regulatory compliance, health, safety and environmental affairs standards. </li><li>Assists Branch Operations Manager with conducting timely and detailed incident investigations and communicates root causes and recommends corrective and preventives measures. </li><li>Regularly updates upper management on branch performance, including cost and efficiency opportunities and issues, and branch or industry related trends. </li></ul> <p>What you'll need:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED required, bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience 3-5 years operations experience. </li><li>Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operation preferred </li><li>Solid understanding of governmental requirements related to the chemical industry; i.e. OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, etc. preferred or validated ability to attain such knowledge </li><li>Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, preferred </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications; Excel and Word </li></ul> <p>Where you'll work:</p> <p>4600 Dues Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45246</p> <p>Pay and benefits:</p> <ul> <li>The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location </li><li>Available employee benefits include health, vision, dental coverage, along with industry-leading retirement and time off programs; union benefits vary in accordance with the respective CBA </li></ul> <p>What you can expect:</p> <ul> <li>Strong work/life flexibility </li><li>To be surrounded by an inclusive team who is collaborative and committed to the achievement of the company </li><li>To be rewarded for your contributions with a targeted annual company bonus (if applicable to your role) and annual salary reviews </li><li>Competitive pay and benefits </li></ul> <p>Univar Solutions is a leading, global distributor of chemicals and ingredients essential to the safety, health, and wellbeing of our daily lives from life-saving medicines and vitamins to hand sanitizers and industrial materials used for cleaning, construction, and more.
