<p>Make a difference every day at Amoskeag Health, where we believe strong healthcare begins with strong human Connections!</p> <p>~ NEW Pay Rates, Same Great Career Growth! ~</p> <p>This position is ideally 20-30 hours per week.</p> <p>Who You Are:</p> <p>Amoskeag Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled part-time Pediatrician who provides high-quality, patient-centered care to children and adolescents. You are comfortable seeing patients independently as well as collaborating with other physicians and non-physician providers (NPPs) to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care. You thrive in a team-based environment, prioritize preventive care, and are dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of every child in your care.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Provide complete, comprehensive, family-oriented outpatient care for clients up to age 21, including health examinations, treatment of medical conditions, and follow-up on identified issues. </li><li>Medically manage acute and chronic illnesses, including acute complications and routine follow-up, developing care plans, coordinating care, and determining the need for case conferences. </li><li>Make appropriate referrals to internal disciplines at Amoskeag Health or external agencies for additional services, including sub-specialty evaluation, surgical evaluation, social services, nutrition, substance abuse, and mental health counseling. </li><li>Provide care for clients with acute illnesses, including same-day appointments as determined in collaboration with nursing staff according to Amoskeag Health policies. </li><li>Prescribe medications when indicated to treat medical conditions. </li><li>Conduct appropriate follow-up with clients through phone or written correspondence, including communicating abnormal test results, in consultation with nursing staff. </li><li>Provide clinical consultation to physicians and mid-level providers as needed. </li><li>Ensure accurate, timely, and clear documentation in the electronic medical record, including client contacts, case planning, and plans of care. </li><li>Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients and staff. </li><li>Participate in administrative and clinical staff meetings, including case conferences, Medical Advisory Committee, QI Committee, and provider meetings; review minutes if absent. </li><li>Attend mandatory safety-related and infection control in-services as designated by Senior Management. </li><li>Assist in the development of medical and clinical policies and protocols for clients across the life cycle. </li><li>Maintain familiarity with local agencies to improve referral processes and communication. </li><li>Represent Amoskeag Health at local, regional, and national conferences as needed. </li><li>Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural diversity of the population served and maintain age-related competence. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring:</p> <ul> <li>License to practice medicine in the State of New Hampshire </li><li>Board eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics </li><li>Maintain Board Certification in Pediatrics </li><li>American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification preferred - candidates without current certification will be required to complete an Amoskeag Health-provided AHA BLS class upon hire (must be maintained) </li></ul>
