Research may</p> <p>involve animal care and handling.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Under general supervision, assist in conducting research studies involving</p> <p>adult human participants.</p> <p>Assist with participant recruitment, screening, and informed consent procedures in accordance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.</p> <p>Collect, manage, and analyze human subject data, including electrophysiological measures.</p> <p>Maintain accurate research records and ensure compliance with IRB and institutional policies.</p> <p>Operate and maintain research equipment used in human subject testing (e.g., BIODEX, EMG systems, etc.).</p> <p>OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Perform other duties as required.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in a STEM or health-related field (e.g., biology, neuroscience, kinesiology, public health) with some level of experience in human subjects or clinical research.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience working with adult human participants in a research or clinical setting, including participant interaction and data collection.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with research participants and interdisciplinary team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally and sensitively with diverse adult populations.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team while adhering to study protocols.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with human subjects protections, including informed consent procedures and Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements.</p> </li></ol> <p>Preferred Qualifications Environmental Conditions</p> <p>ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:</p> <p>The incumbent is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental</p> <p>conditions.</p> <p>Posting Date 04/22/2026 Closing Date 05/05/2026 Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>Please attach the following 2 (PDF) documents to your online Employment Application:</p> <p>(#1) Cover letter.</p> <p>(#2) Curriculum Vitae.</p> <p>Note: References will be upon request by the search committee.</p> <p>Quicklink for Posting https://jobs.uri.edu/postings/16633</p>
