<p>This is semi-skilled work as a helper to the Building Construction and Repair Supervisor, and/or journeyman Building Maintenance Mechanic. An employee in this class performs routine semi-skilled tasks in a variety of building trades and in grounds maintenance.   Tasks are performed under the general supervision of either a Maintenance Mechanic or Lead Maintenance Worker depending on the area of work. Incumbents in this class may perform routine tasks independently, with completed tasks being inspected by a supervisor.</p> <p>(The following examples illustrate the work performed in the positions in the class.
