<p>About the Role</p> <p>Location</p> <p>United States of America</p> <p>Texas</p> <p>Houston</p> <p>Company</p> <p>Siemens Energy, Inc.</p> <p>Organization</p> <p>Transformation of Industry</p> <p>Business Unit</p> <p>Industrial Steam Turbines & Generators</p> <p>Full / Part time</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Experience Level</p> <p>Experienced Professional</p> <p>Snapshot of Your Day:</p> <p>We are looking for a Sales Manager in Houston, TX responsible for new unit sales of Siemens Energy industrial steam turbines.</p> <p>How You'll Make an Impact:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the whole steam turbine sales process including steam turbine selection, cost preparation and price strategy definition. </li><li>Discuss customers steam turbine technical requirements by means of external technical meetings or specification analysis. </li><li>Prepare and minister technical presentations aimed at highlighting Siemens Energy steam turbines technical attributes and create value proposition. </li><li>Create and maintain relationships with key Energy and Industrial customer accounts. </li><li>Prepare internal presentations for project review and proposal approvals as per Siemens Energy guidelines (LoA -Limits of Authority). </li><li>Discuss technical aspects of the project such as power and steam consumption demands, heat exchangers sizing, transportation logistics, etc. </li><li>Responsible for technical and commercial negotiations of steam turbine projects. </li><li>Interface with worldwide factories and engineering departments on product development and shop capacity. </li><li>Support the preparation of the technical offer language for the corresponding to the offered product. </li><li>Analyze technical requests for quotations and/or technical specifications to select the right steam turbine and auxiliary system scope of supply based on customer needs. </li><li>Run thermodynamic calculations to select correct size steam turbine based on customer requirements. </li><li>Interface with Brazilian, European and Indian factories on product selection and costs. </li><li>Participate in project initiation meetings with customers and execution team. </li><li>Prepare win/loss analysis after each firm bid negotiation for market strategy. </li><li>40% domestic/international travel required. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field, and 3 years of experience. </li><li>Experience must include 3 years with: familiarization with workflow related to project development efforts related to the Industrial Steam Turbines including Project Execution, Installation and Commissioning; </li><li>Industry knowledge on Industrial Steam Turbine applications on power plants, mechanical drive, power generation, steam tailing, combined solar plants and combined cycle power plants; </li><li>Experience with Steam Turbine functioning process and mechanical parts. </li><li>Experience must also include: experience with Steam Turbine calculation and Steam Cycle software calculation; </li><li>Proposal/bid management or application engineering; </li><li>Industry knowledge of the Power Plant equipment design; </li><li>Industry knowledge of Hydraulic Units, Centrifugal/Positive Displacement Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Gearbox, Steam Turbine Condensing systems, Generator and Control system equipment, parts and functioning process; </li><li>Industry knowledge of U.S. and Canadian standards and codes applicable for power plants equipment. </li><li>40% domestic/international travel required. </li><li>The position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. </li><li>To apply, please email resumes to siemensenergy.resumes@siemens-energy.com referencing job code: MK/RP. </li></ul> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity Statement</p> <p>Siemens Energy or Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
