We're hiring a dependable Armed Security Officer to support a client site in Chicago. This is a steady part-time position offering evening shifts throughout the week, along with the opportunity to serve in an important security role.</p> <p>Primary Duties</p> <ul> <li>Conduct foot, vehicle, or bike patrols around interior and exterior areas </li><li>Keep watch for unusual behavior or security concerns and report them promptly </li><li>Respond to incidents according to company protocols and appropriate use-of-force standards </li><li>Prepare thorough written reports and maintain daily activity documentation </li><li>Follow all site instructions, post orders, and client policies </li><li>Provide professional assistance at access points such as lobbies, loading docks, or assigned stations </li><li>Remain knowledgeable about emergency plans relevant to the site </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Active IL PERC card </li><li>Active IL FOID card </li><li>40-hour Illinois Armed Security Training Certificate </li><li>Valid gun permit </li><li>Personal firearm, Level II or higher holster, and duty belt </li><li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Preferably 1-3 years of armed security, military, law enforcement, or customer-facing experience </li><li>Strong written communication and report-writing ability </li><li>Reliable transportation for commute </li><li>Must be able to pass a background check </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills & Additional Considerations</p> <ul> <li>Military experience or relevant college coursework </li><li>Valid driver's license with a clean record (if needed for specific assignments) </li><li>Ability to pass a drug test (if required by location) </li></ul> <p>IL #122-001049</p> <p>IL #123.000460</p> <p>Education Requirements (All)</p> <p>HS Diploma</p> <p>GED or H.S.
