<p>Pavarini McGovern, part of the STO Building Group is looking to add a Staff Accountant to our team in New York City.</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The staff accountant reports to the Controller of the Pavarini McGovern, LLC group at STOBG. The staff accountant assists with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of the company's accounts.</p> <ul> <li>Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and other balance sheet accounts. </li><li>Monitor, reconcile and report on division cash positions </li><li>Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations </li><li>Assist with compiling and maintaining required financial information to populate reports for senior management </li><li>Assist with preparation of annual audits and quarterly internal financial statement preparation. </li><li>Prepare basic financial compliance reports as requested. </li><li>Work with Project Accountants with day to day and month/year end closing tasks </li><li>Review, code, and process vendor invoices and payments. </li><li>Follow up on outstanding items with vendors and internal staff. </li><li>Maintain accurate and organized accounting records </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to develop and maintain relationship with both local, regional and international financial team members. </li><li>Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. </li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills </li><li>Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment. </li><li>Oracle Based CMiC Construction Management software knowledge is recommended </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance and /or Accounting and related work experience. </li><li>2+ years of general accounting experience and financial recordkeeping. </li><li>Construction accounting experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>The salary range for this position is $105-120k annually with a discretionary bonus potential.</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The Company offers the following benefits?for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: [Medical Insurance] [Dental Insurance] [Vision Insurance] [Health Savings Account] [Healthcare Flexible Spending Account] [Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account] [401(k) retirement plan with employer match] [Life & AD&D Insurance] [Long-term Disability Insurance] [Short-term Disability Insurance] [Critical Illness Insurance] [Accident Insurance] [Hospital Indemnity Insurance] [Home & Auto Insurance] [Family Support] [Pre-tax Paid Parking/Public Transportation] [Paid time off: 2 Weeks for Non-Exempt and Three Weeks for Exempt] [Time Away Benefits] [8 Paid Holidays] [Group Legal] [Employee Stock Purchase Plan] [Identity Theft Protection] [Group Legal] [Pet Insurance] [Employee Assistance Program]</p> <p>Disclaimer:?The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
