<p>Irrigation Technician</p> <p>Location- Apopka, FL Area</p> <p>Position Summary: Maintain all irrigation systems and aquatic fountains. Ensures the optimum operation for all irrigation systems, with an emphasis on proper water conservation programming techniques. Provide irrigation quotes for the upcoming landscape season. Good knowledge of piping for landscaping sprinkler systems and agricultural uses. Works with staff, such as property managers or owners, to ensure the proper coordination of activities.</p> <p>Key Areas of Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Install and maintain irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties </li><li>Dig trenches and install pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads </li><li>Use power tools and hand tools to complete irrigation projects </li><li>Perform repairs and troubleshoot on existing irrigation systems </li><li>Ensure proper water coverage and distribution for lawns, gardens, and landscapes </li><li>Collaborate with landscaping teams to coordinate irrigation installation with other landscape projects </li><li>Weekly and daily scheduling of irrigation service and installation projects. </li><li>Coordinate materials, purchase for new installation projects and maintain service inventory. </li><li>Ensure that customers are satisfied completely, thorough effective communication, relationship building and regular site visits. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining communication and strong working relationship with owner or manager of properties. </li><li>Work closely with the Operations Manager and Landscape Manager. </li><li>Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades as necessary for client irrigation systems. </li><li>Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles. </li><li>Maintain a clean job site, orderly and stocked equipment trailer. </li><li>Forecast equipment, labor and material needs to ensure efficient production. </li><li>Track materials and time on service work orders and submit daily according to current processes and procedures </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience and Skills requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in irrigation installation and maintenance preferred </li><li>2 years' experience in installation and service of water features </li><li>Knowledge of various commercial irrigation system components and their functions </li><li>Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in irrigation work </li><li>Understanding of landscaping principles and practices </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints or irrigation plans </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with irrigation systems </li><li>Excellent communication and organization skills. </li><li>Irrigation Association Certification </li><li>Strong work ethic. </li><li>Ability to prioritize and multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul>
