<p>Position Information</p> <p>Posting Number F00347 Position Title Assistant Professor, Health Care Administration (Tenure-Track) Division Academic Affairs Division Department Name Management and Marketing Department Position Type Faculty Position Overview</p> <p>One HCA faculty member is now on phased retirement, the second full time faculty member in the program has resigned. There are therefore NO full time faculty in the healthcare admin program. Further, when the Program Director HCA became Dean, she was not replaced- the program is now run with all adjuncts.</p> <p>Essential Duties</p> <ul> <li>Teach courses in health care administration, including but not limited to biostatistics, data analytics, research methods, health informatics. </li><li>Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, guiding their academic progress and career development. </li><li>Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement of the department's programs. </li><li>Serve on departmental, college, and university committees as part of faculty governance. </li><li>Engage in community outreach and professional service activities that enhance the department's role in the health care community. </li><li>Maintain an active professional presence in the field, attending conferences and workshops to stay current with industry trends. </li></ul> <p>The College requires that all applicants and employees be able to perform the above essential duties of the job and will explore reasonable accommodations for individuals with documented disabilities in accordance with ADA requirements.</p> <p>Occasional Duties</p> <p>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the director of the Health Care Administration program.</p> <p>Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Good teaching skills and ability to impart this knowledge to undergraduate students, as well as fulfill all other job functions. </li><li>Ability to teach quantitative courses including biostatistics, data analytics, research methods. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A Ph.D. or DrPH in Health Care Administration, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field or MS/MBA with focus on healthcare management. </li><li>Evidence of successful teaching experience in higher education. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and community stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Expertise in one or more areas of healthcare management such as health care finance, policy analysis, data analytics, or health care quality improvement. </li><li>Experience with in-person teaching and curriculum development. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <p>The program is offered in a traditional laboratory and teaching facility.</p> <p>Position Details</p> <p>FLSA Exempt Full Time / Part Time Full-time Proposed Compensation</p> <p>Minimum Salary for Rank: Assistant Professor - $69,871.73</p> <p>May be eligible for additional compensation based on prior collegiate level or industry specific experience.</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Full-time employees enjoy an array of benefits including:</p> <ul> <li>Health and Wellness - Medical, Dental & Vision </li><li>Wellness Incentives and Rewards </li><li>Paid time Off - Vacation, Sick & Holiday </li><li>Retirement Benefits </li><li>Disability and Insurance Benefits </li><li>Education Benefits - Tuition waivers for RIC, CCRI & URI </li></ul> <p>For a complete listing, visit Employee Benefits.</p> <p>Reports to (Title) Department Chair Academic or Calendar Year Academic Position Status Continuing Tenure Track End of Temporary or Limited Position Collective Bargaining Unit RIC/AFT</p> <p>Posting Information</p> <p>Number of Positions Available 1 Application Posting Date 01/09/2026 Application Closing Date Special Instructions/Information for Applicants</p> <ul> <li>Please be advised that the college is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
