They are responsible for implementing and updating management and measurement systems to ensure continued improvement in power generation, water and waste handling, electrical generation and kraft cycle operations.</p> <p>How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock</p> <ul> <li>Implement process improvement projects to optimize equipment and reduce downtime. </li><li>Optimize recovery boiler operation and power generation to maximize pulp production and reduce downtime and costs </li><li>Communicate with other department managers to optimize mill production </li><li>Promote team concept with supervisors and operators to assure continuity in reaching common production goals </li><li>Encourage a behavior-based safety process </li><li>Review environmental compliance measures daily </li><li>Initiate process improvement projects to eliminate emissions/releases </li><li>Develop annual operating and maintenance budgets and review monthly actuals versus budget </li><li>Maintain asset management systems to improve equipment performance and reliability </li><li>Ensure the training program for operators and foreman is current and appropriate training levels are met </li><li>Promote ISO standards throughout department </li></ul> <p>What You Need To Succeed</p> <ul> <li>B.S.
