<p>Senior Director of Field Operations</p> <p>(Reports to VP of Operations)</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Senior Director of Field Operations is responsible for leading the company's entire delivery</p> <p>engine, including Project Management, Field Execution, Scheduling, and Labor Utilization. This</p> <p>role ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at target gross margin while</p> <p>maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.</p> <p>This leader owns operational accountability from project handoff through final completion.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Operational Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee Project Management and Field Execution teams </li><li>Establish alignment between scope, schedule, labor planning, and execution </li><li>Eliminate cross-functional silos and drive accountability across departments </li><li>Develop and enforce standardized delivery processes </li></ul> <p>Financial & Margin Ownership</p> <ul> <li>Own delivered net profit experience through implementing cost control measures </li><li>Monitor labor cost as a percentage of revenue (standard labor) </li><li>Identify and correct margin erosion drivers (scope creep, labor overruns, scheduling </li></ul> <p>inefficiencies)</p> <ul> <li>Partner with the VP of Operations on forecasting and capacity planning </li></ul> <p>Project Delivery Performance</p> <ul> <li>Ensure on-time project completion </li><li>Oversee workload balancing across PMs and field teams </li><li>Improve contractor utilization strategy </li><li>Drive continuous improvement in execution speed and quality </li></ul> <p>Team Development</p> <ul> <li>Develop high-performing leaders within PM and Field teams </li><li>Mentor Director of Field Execution </li><li>Oversee Project Manager development </li><li>Build succession planning and leadership depth </li><li>Establish clear KPIs and accountability systems </li></ul> <p>Client & Escalation Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Support major client escalations </li><li>Ensure delivery excellence aligns with brand standards </li><li>Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Executive Leadership </li></ul> <p>Key Metrics</p> <ul> <li>Net Profit </li><li>Labor Utilization % </li><li>On-Time Completion % </li><li>Labor Over/Under Hours </li><li>Change Order Capture Rate </li><li>Zero Sells </li><li>Contractor Payroll </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Valid North Carolina Driver's License </li><li>Minimum 7 Years related experience preferred </li><li>Proven organizational and follow through skills required </li><li>Proven leadership ability skills required </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment </li><li>Ability to work after normal business hours as needed to support the team and meet customer expectations. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree Preferred </li></ul>
