The company now employs over 300 employees and is a six-time recipient of Chicago's Best and Brightest Employers to Work For award.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>Perform a three-way match between invoice, purchase order for price and packing slip for quantity. Follow up with procurement or receiving on discrepancies. Work with vendors to obtain appropriate credits when necessary. Investigate missing packing slips. Additionally, this position is responsible for sales invoicing, applying cash receipts and collections to support accounts receivable.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Review all vendor invoices for accuracy and enter them into the accounting system. </li><li>Obtain Project Lead's approval for engineering invoices. </li><li>Reconcile vendor statements to the accounting system. Answer vendor payment inquiries. </li><li>Maintain vendor files, including W-9 information. Prepare and file 1099s at year's end. </li><li>Processing of expense reports and verifying that all expenses have receipts and all charges on the credit card have been identified. </li><li>Reconcile credit card statements on a timely basis. </li><li>Assist with applying cash receipts. </li><li>Assist with AR collections. </li><li>Customer billing </li><li>Prepare accounts receivable and accounts payable reconciliations. </li><li>Assist in monthly closing of accounts payable and accounts receivable. </li><li>Work with management on revenue and expense recording, including accruals. </li><li>Maintain files for journal entries, packing slips, and all other accounting documents. </li><li>Responsible for implementing and complying with all ethical and legal compliance requirements. </li><li>Other duties & functions may be assigned to this position as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School or GED. </li><li>Minimum of 0-2 years of accounts payable/accounting in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook. </li><li>Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload. </li><li>Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface and communicate with all levels of the organization. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in accounting, Business Administration, or Finance. </li><li>Familiarity with ERP software. </li><li>Basic knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with the accounting cycle. </li></ul> <p>An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass both the drug test and background check will not be considered for employment.</p> <p>The salary range specified is applicable to positions within the State of Illinois and reflects various factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, individual skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and the specific needs of our business and organization. At Astronics CSC, it is uncommon for new hires to receive an offer at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are made based on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate. The current estimated yearly salary range for this position is $45,000 to $50,000 per year. In addition, you will be eligible for our Quarterly Incentive compensation bonus.
