As a Construction Technical Services/Project Engineer, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Engage in resolving in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications; clarifying and, when required, expediting home office/responsible engineer(s) response to meet project needs in a timely manner </li><li>Liais with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives </li><li>Provide On-site technical support in interpretation of engineering released documents, specifications, and drawings, including input to the change management process within your technical expertise. </li><li>Engage in the Permitting process and with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), </li><li>Work with Design-Build contractors once their efforts move to the field. </li><li>Effectively communicate with subcontractors leading to receipt and management of all key drawings and documents in a revision-controlled manner. </li><li>Work to Ensure revision control is in place for all construction documents </li></ul> <p>o Ensure contractors have the latest revisions to construction documents</p> <p>o Mange, control, and communicate all timely information related to potential changes in design and installation</p> <p>o Ensure we work within the field sketch/redline process associated with changes</p> <p>o Work with Project Controls and Construction regarding the Field Design Revision process</p> <ul> <li>Act as technically competent lead in response to contractor or other party request for specification deviation in work or work product, working within the project approved spec deviation process. </li><li>Work with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering to resolve Nonconformities (NCRs) </li><li>Provide mentorship and guidance to subordinate members of the team toward meeting these objectives. </li></ul> <p>Follow your purpose and develop your skills in a company that challenges you throughout your career. You will be based out of our Cary, North Carolina office, but located at our project in Wilson, North Carolina.</p> <p>In this role you'll own your career as you work on some of the most innovative projects of our time, while using your unique background and diverse perspective to help shape the success of project quality plans.</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, or construction; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree, including certified technical training is preferred </li><li>Minimum 4+ years of experience working in the engineering and construction of process facilities within Life Sciences preferred </li><li>Basic understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards </li><li>Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes </li></ul> <p>Ideally, You'll Also Have:</p> <ul> <li>Some field experience supporting construction </li><li>Experience in process facilities within life sciences </li><li>Effective oral and written communication </li><li>Ability to read and understand engineering drawings </li></ul> <p>#LifeSciences, #Bio/Pharma, #EPCMV, #globallifescience</p> <p>#LI-SH1</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>89,500.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>140,000.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
