Collaborate with system and functional teams to design, test, implement, and maintain PeopleSoft functionality and other third-party software to support Enrollment Services Student Records Operations. Act as a support person, regarding technology issues, with departments outside of Enrollment Services and organizations outside of the University working with Enrollment Services.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Support Registrar system requests for resolution of issues, data needs, and business process changes; prioritize and ensure timely completion of all requests, assigning them to other staff when appropriate.</p> <p>Collaborate with technical and subject matter experts to facilitate business process changes related to PeopleSoft, including researching specifications for potential PeopleSoft solutions and how they interact with our current system setup.</p> <p>Perform systems operations related to PeopleSoft Student Records functions, including, but not limited to, batch data processing, Records and Enrollment, Curriculum Management, Faculty & Student Self Service, Student Records, Academic Advisement, and Student Records Custom Processes.</p> <p>Maintain and update Term, Session, and Academic Calendars in e-Campus.</p> <p>Assess and document our current business processes and internal policies in preparation for our move to a new SIS system or build in new efficiencies.</p> <p>Work with staff from other departments or vendors of the University to communicate needs, identify & resolve issues, implement solutions, whether technical or functional in nature, and ensure smooth & efficient information processing.</p> <p>Work with information technology staff at the University, as well as with other institutions and outside vendors to develop and maintain technology products & services for the Student Records Area & Enrollment Services in general.</p> <p>Support the University's reporting structure to the National Student Clearing House including the review of student error reports and files. Resolve reported errors and maintain current business process to reduce or eliminate the reporting error rate as well as developing business processes to minimize new errors.</p> <p>Support student records and registration processing, and Enrollment Services in general, through data analysis and reporting by using current University reporting tools such as Query reporting tools, Microsoft Office, and other available tools, as well as writing functional reporting requirements and specifications.</p> <p>Serve as a member on the Enrollment Services Student Records Technical Support Team.</p> <p>Maintain curriculum change documentation in Kuali Catalog software as it pertains to Academic Requirement Reporting.</p> <p>Conduct testing of new PeopleSoft Patches and new Enrollment Services Student Records software needs.</p> <p>OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Audit PeopleSoft data to ensure information integrity, in collaboration with Admissions, the Office of Institutional Research, and other university peers.</p> <p>Maintain a high level of understanding of current developments in the assigned area of responsibility and anticipate future needs.</p> <p>Perform other duties as required.</p> <p>LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:</p> <p>Personal computers and printers; word processing, database and spreadsheet software. Banner, PeopleSoft. Google App Script, JavaScript. Excel.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of two years' experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Banner, or other administrative software applications developed specifically for higher education.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated Google App Script and/or JavaScript experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated Enrollment Services experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.</p> </li></ol> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business or related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of two years' experience in an Enrollment Services operation (financial aid, billing and collections, registration and records, and/or Technical team).</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience working with a Google App Script or similar language, writing data queries and reports, and using tools such as SQL and/or Query Manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of Academic Requirement Reporting, processes, and regulations for National Student Clearinghouse.</p> </li></ol> <p>_<strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>__</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>The University of Rhode Island is an equal-opportunity employer.
