<p>The clinical field supervisor will provide oversight to doctoral students in clinical and school psychology who are completing practicum experiences at the psychology department's training clinic, Psychological Services Center. The clinical supervisor will meet with students weekly to review video recorded client sessions and provide training on psychotherapy or assessment cases. The supervisor will be responsible to revise and approve clinical notes, complete comprehensive evaluations of students each semester, and attend required supervisor meetings four times per academic year.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Psychology and hold a NY State psychology license or limited permit. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in the delivery of evidence-based psychotherapy interventions and/or psychological assessment and possess knowledge of professional ethics and legal standards of psychology practice. </li><li>Must possess skills and knowledge pertaining to competency in clinical supervision, such as the ability to evaluate trainee competence, teach psychotherapy theory, assessment practices and intervention skills, and practice with multicultural competence. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provides training in case conceptualization, treatment planning and evidence-based assessment and/or intervention techniques to graduate student trainees. </li><li>Provides detailed feedback and discussion regarding clinical notes. </li><li>Provides formative and summative feedback regarding trainee progress. </li><li>Communicates with Clinic Director and other faculty regarding student progress; attends supervisor meetings. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.</p>
