<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Job Title: Community Distribution Coordinator</p> <p>Department: Operations</p> <p>Reports To: Site Manager</p> <p>Status: Hourly</p> <p>Grade: 4</p> <p>Salary Range: $41,700 - 43,010</p> <p>COMPANY OVERVIEW</p> <p>Feeding Tampa Bay serves ten counties in West Central Florida and is a leader in hunger relief across our region. Just last year, we served 85M meals to our neighbors through direct service and through our network of 400+ food pantry partners.</p> <p>But, we know food alone won't solve hunger - that's why we're redefining what it means to feed our region. By creating pathways to possibilities for nearly 1 million people, Feeding Tampa Bay connects and convenes solutions, partners and resources that nourish long-term stability. As a member of the Feeding America network, we will work to dismantle barriers for individuals, families, and seniors across our area - because it's possible.</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Bringing services and support directly to the heart of Pinellas County, the Feeding Pinellas Empowerment Center is the first localized solution of Feeding Tampa Bay. The center provides essential services, including daily hot meals through Trinity Cafe and an on-site food pantry available three times a week. In addition, community partners offer valuable services to guests, helping to bridge resource gaps for neighbors in need. This localized solution ensures vital resources are easily accessible to those in need across the county.</p> <p>JOB OVERVIEW</p> <p>The Community Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Feeding Pinellas Empowerment Center, while also supporting other neighbor food programs in Tampa Bay. This person will be responsible for running all aspects of the food pantry, maintaining cleanliness, assisting with meal service, and traveling to other sites to assist with coverage.</p> <p>The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, execution, implementation, and planning of Feeding Tampa Bay distribution programs.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>As a Community Distribution Coordinator, you can expect your role to typically involve some or all of the following: </li><li>Ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of Feeding Pinellas and other FTB food programs, compliant with relevant policies and guidelines. </li><li>Maintain facilities to a high standard, including sweeping, moping, trash removal, and restroom & kitchen cleaning duties </li><li>Coordinate, implement, and evaluate food bank distribution programs, including asking guests for information about household size, zip code, etc., and ensuring pantry is properly stocked and maintained </li><li>Travel and provide support as needed for other Neighbor Food Programs, such as the market and the bistro at Causeway, Trinity Cafe, and other FTB food distribution events </li><li>Responsible for professional and efficient communication between the food bank, host sites, volunteers, donors, and community partners during distribution events. </li><li>Lead up to 20 volunteers and staff during lunch service and pantry days. </li><li>Support disaster response efforts as needed. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.</p> <ul> <li>Excel working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and demonstrate the ability to embrace the FTB's commitment to treat all people with equity and respect in pursuit of our mission to feed people in need and mobilize our community to eliminate hunger </li><li>Knowledge and experience in the non-profit sector. </li><li>Ability to maintain a professional and calm demeanor while making quick decisions in stressful situations. </li><li>Possess a strong attention to detail and while maintaining exceptional customer service to the community. </li><li>Willingness to learn various technology products based on the needs of the distribution team, currently but not limited to: client appointment setting and processing pantry applications. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. </li><li>Possess excellent interpersonal skills in a diverse environment. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat, familiarity with online databases desired. </li><li>Have or be able to acquire Food Manager certification (via FTB training). </li><li>Internal candidates must be in their current position for at least one year. </li><li>Some travel within the 10-county region (mileage to other sites is reimbursed at the federal rate) </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills with proactive customer service experience </li><li>Willing to be cross-trained to support corporate and community engagement team efforts which may also include volunteering, food and fund drives, and delivery of community education and outreach programming </li><li>This position is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl </li><li>Can execute repetitive physical work such as lifting, stacking, unloading, and event set up and tear down. </li><li>Can work inside/outside in extreme weather conditions to include heat, rain, wind and cold. </li><li>Can frequently lift up to 50 lbs. of weight. </li><li>Work hours Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with some nights and weekends. </li></ul>
