<p>Piper Companies is seeking a Resident Network Engineer to join a leading Cable Service Provider in Kansas City, Missouri in an On-Site environment. This is a highly technical, post-sales support role with a focus on IP-based service provider networks and security platforms.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Resident Network Engineer include:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with customer and Technical Assistance Centre to resolve issues. </li><li>Act as a customer technical liaison for Networks support and development teams. </li><li>Identify, research, and resolve technical problems of a diverse scope. </li><li>Assist in the development and testing of new features and services/functionality. </li><li>Provide informal workshops to transfer knowledge to engineering staff/customers. </li><li>Evaluate technical specifications for interoperability. </li><li>Assist the customer to develop Network and Equipment Operating Procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications for the Resident Network Engineer include:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience supporting networking and security products in LAN/WAN/Internet environments. </li><li>Experience with JUNOS CLI or other Network OS. </li><li>Hands-on experience with SRX Series high-end firewalls (cluster and MNHA). </li><li>Understanding of security best practices: Stateful firewall, NAT, ALG's, DOS/DDOS mitigation, IPS/IDS, AppFW, SIEM, Threat intelligence. </li><li>Strong knowledge of IP service provider protocols: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP, IPv6, BGP), VPNs. </li><li>Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of JUNOS and SRX-Series products. </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Resident Network Engineer includes:</p> <p>Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000</p> <p>Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays</p> <p>This job opens for applications on 06/30/2025.
