<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Instructional Coach supports teacher growth and student achievement by providing job-embedded coaching, modeling high-quality instruction, and facilitating professional learning aligned to district goals. This position will have a strong emphasis on strengthening instructional practices in Math and ELA across all grade levels, while also supporting overall instructional improvement.</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Literacy/ Director of Mathematics</p> <p>Supervises: None</p> <p>Pay Grade: To Be Determined</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <p>instructional Support</p> <ul> <li>Provide job-embedded coaching to teachers through co-planning, co-teaching, modeling lessons, and reflective conversations. </li><li>Support teachers in implementing district curriculum, instructional strategies, and interventions with fidelity, with a priority focus on Math and ELA instruction. </li><li>Assist teachers in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, English language learners, and advanced learners. </li></ul> <p>Data-Driven Practices</p> <ul> <li>Support teachers in analyzing student performance data (formative, summative, and benchmark assessments), with a focus on Math and ELA achievement outcomes. </li><li>Facilitate data team meetings to identify trends, set goals, and plan targeted instructional responses. </li><li>Monitor progress and adjust coaching support based on ongoing data. </li></ul> <p>Professional Learning</p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver high-quality professional development aligned to district priorities, with specific emphasis on evidence-based Math and ELA instructional practices. </li><li>Facilitate PLCs focused on instructional strategies, assessment design, curriculum implementation, and common planning. </li><li>Provide follow-up support to ensure PD transfers into classroom practice. </li></ul> <p>Curriculum & Assessment</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with district curriculum teams to ensure alignment of standards, instructional materials, and assessments, particularly in Math and ELA. </li><li>Support consistent use of instructional frameworks, rubrics, and district assessment tools. </li><li>Help teachers integrate technology effectively to enhance learning. </li></ul> <p>School Improvement & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Partner with building administrators to support school improvement goals and instructional priorities tied to Math and ELA outcomes. </li><li>Participate in school and district leadership meetings as requested. </li><li>Serve as a resource for creating inclusive, culturally responsive classroom environments. </li></ul> <p>Other Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate coaching logs and documentation. </li><li>Engage in continuous professional learning to strengthen coaching practice. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Expertise in Math and/or ELA instruction, curriculum, and assessment strongly preferred </li><li>Demonstrated experience leading professional learning </li><li>Strong communication, coaching, and collaboration skills </li><li>Ability to analyze student achievement data and support data-informed instruction </li><li>Ability to build trust with educators and work in a confidential coaching relationship </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>Valid Missouri teaching certificate in assigned content area preferred </li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching experience </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENT</p> <p>Physical demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
