<p>Position Title</p> <p>Lead Technologist/Clinical Coordinator, Diagnostic Imaging</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Purpose & Scope:</p> <p>Maintains quality control for the Radiology Department and supervises technical and support staff. This position requires initiative and independent judgment. In an effort to maintain consistency of quality throughout the department, the Day, Evening, and Weekend Technical Managers and Student Clinical Coordinator will report to the Senior Technical Manager. Certain functions of the Assistant Director may be delegated on occasion. Assumes responsibility for all aspects of the clinical training of affiliating student radiographers from Montgomery College and Northern Virginia Community College; this includes both 1st and 2nd year students. As a radiographer, must perform a variety of technical procedures that will require ingenuity and initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Associate's degree in radiography is required or,</p> <p>Graduate of an accredited certificate program for radiography is required</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>One year of supervisory experience is preferred.</p> <p>Certification/Licensure:</p> <p>Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.</p> <p>BLS certification is required.</p>
