<p>Clinical Duties</p> <p>? Greet patients, verify demographics, and prepare them for visits.</p> <p>? Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, height, BMI, oxygen saturation).</p> <p>? Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, COVID, urinalysis, blood glucose, pregnancy tests, etc.).</p> <p>? Assist providers with procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care, abscess drainage, orthopedic immobilization, etc.).</p> <p>? Review and document patient history, current medications, and allergies.</p> <p>? Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, vision/hearing screenings, wound care and specimen collection (urine, blood, swabs).</p> <p>? Follow infection control and safety procedures (PPE, room cleaning, sterilization of instruments).</p> <p>? Provide patient education on health maintenance, medications, and follow-up instructions.</p> <p>Administrative Duties</p> <p>? Schedule patient appointments, referrals, and diagnostic tests.</p> <p>? Manage and document patient messages, prescription refill requests, and provider communications.</p> <p>? Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and promptly.</p> <p>? Handle prior authorizations and insurance verifications as needed.</p> <p>? Support population health initiatives and Care Gaps (outreach calls, chronic disease management, preventive screenings).</p> <p>? Coordinate with labs, imaging centers, pharmacies, and specialists.</p> <p>? Maintain patient's privacy and secure patient privacy information</p> <p>? Will need to float to other sites and cross cover as needed</p> <p>? Will attend and complete agency trainings as assigned</p> <p>? Demonstrate understanding and commitment of the health center mission, Values and Standards</p> <p>? Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the established CHC Values and Standards</p> <p>? Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>? High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree in Medical Office Assistant or equivalent preferred</p> <p>? Previous experience preferred</p> <p>? Bilingual in Spanish/English or Portuguese/English is a plus</p> <p>? Work experience similar to a medical office environment</p> <p>? Computer skills for accurate data entry</p> <p>? Knowledge of basic medical terminology</p> <p>? AHA BLS Health Care Provider certification or equivalent</p> <p>? Hearing to distinguish difference in heartbeat and breathing of patients and to hear instructions.</p> <p>? Near visual acuity to read gauges and dials on equipment.</p> <p>? Color vision for perceiving changes in patient's skin color or color of solutions.</p> <p>? Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills</p> <p>? Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English</p> <p>? Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced medical office environment</p>
