<p>Close All</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Recreation Services group at CU Boulder is currently accepting applications for a Lead Custodian! This position is responsible for carrying out general custodial tasks in Recreation Center facilities while also providing supervision support. Recreation Services supervises the LEED Platinum main campus Student Rec Center, a building with over 300,000 square feet of recreation and fitness activity space, as well as a satellite recreation center at Williams Village, outdoor basketball courts, a challenge ropes course, and eight turf and grass fields around campus. Throughout these facilities, members of the CU community can engage with a variety of programs that include ice skating, indoor rock climbing, intramural and club sports, yoga, aquatics and so much more.</p> <p>What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be</p> <p>Supervision</p> <ul> <li>Provides direction, training, performs inspections, assigns tasks and work review to all custodian staff. </li><li>Organizes and assigns work, sets priorities, and follows up to ensure coordination and completion of assigned work. </li><li>Provides input into selection decisions, performance evaluations, disciplinary matters, and other personnel decisions. </li><li>Provide direction, feedback, and guidance that will enable staff to perform their jobs at a high standard. </li><li>Trains staff in the proper use of custodial equipment and supplies. </li><li>Maintains records and prepares reports of work performed. </li><li>Performs related duties as required or assigned. </li></ul> <p>Administrative Functions</p> <p>Assist the Custodian Supervisor with:</p> <ul> <li>Assigning daily/weekly/monthly tasks and follow up to make sure tasks are being completed. </li><li>Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies, materials and equipment when needed. </li><li>Approving employee leave and assisting with coaching and performance evaluations </li></ul> <p>Cleaning Functions</p> <ul> <li>Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuum, and polishes floors. Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork. Empties, cleans, and lines waste receptacles and disposes of trash.
