<p>Frattalone Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Earthwork Estimator to support our commercial and industrial projects. The Earthwork Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for earthwork projects, ensuring the successful execution of estimates from inception to submission. This role involves analyzing project specifications, assessing material and labor costs, and collaborating with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to create competitive and precise bids.</p> <ul> <li>Interested candidates should send their resumes in strict confidence to Cory Van Engen - (coryv@frattaloneco.com). </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Thoroughly review and understand project plans, specifications, and documents to generate accurate earthwork estimates and cost breakdowns. </li><li>Engage with clients and project managers to understand project needs, scope, and expectations, ensuring the estimates align with the project goals and specifications. </li><li>Accurately calculate earthwork quantities for excavation, grading, backfilling, and other earth-related activities based on the project scope. </li><li>Solicit, evaluate, and finalize subcontractor and material quotations, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure proper sequencing of work. </li><li>Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers, ensuring that costs align with project requirements and budget constraints. </li><li>Gather and organize comprehensive project details to lead effective project handoff meetings as well as to communicate with the project manager throughout the project. </li><li>Develop detailed and competitive cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services, ensuring that all project requirements are accounted for. </li><li>Support the bidding process by providing accurate, clear, and competitive estimates to ensure that bids align with client expectations and project budgets. </li><li>Review and assist in negotiating contract terms, finalize subcontractor contracts, material agreements, and ensure timely distribution by the Contract Administrator. </li><li>Continuously track market trends for materials, labor, and equipment, adjusting estimates as necessary to reflect current industry standards and pricing. </li><li>Work closely with field teams and project managers to ensure that estimates are accurate, reflecting real-world site conditions, and that the scope of work is appropriately detailed. </li><li>Proactively engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with customer satisfaction and promptly addressing any concerns that arise. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience/training; or equivalent combination of experience, training and education </li><li>Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with our team, clients, subcontractors and vendors </li><li>Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks accordingly </li><li>Proficient computer skills in project financials, progress tracking/scheduling, and estimating/takeoffs.
