Simply put, our mission is to prepare students for life and career, wherever those journeys take them.</p> <p>The Division of Student Life plays an integral role in the College's vision and values, and every member supports the delivery of a transformative student experience.</p> <p>The Student Life Coordinator reports to the Director of Student Life Operations and Strategic Initiatives and is a key contributor to the division's strategic coordination and operational efficiency. This position provides high-level programmatic and operational support for the Vice President for Student Life, Student Life Deans, and affiliated offices, ensuring seamless student services, strategic project management, and data-informed decision-making.</p> <p>In addition to managing essential divisional processes, the Student Life Coordinator exercises independent judgment in handling complex student concerns, developing operational improvements, and serving as a liaison between students, parents, staff, and faculty.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide programmatic, administrative, and technical support for Student Life offices and divisional search committees, including managing schedules for the Vice President for Student Life and Deans.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate parent and student inquiries by email, phone, social media, and TopDesk tickets.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage shared divisional calendars, Armstrong Room reservations, office and break room inventory, process invoices and expense reports, and support Student Life Leadership with scheduling and technical support.</p> </li><li> <p>Design and implement onboarding efforts for new divisional staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and execute divisional strategies and operations for major programs and initiatives such as Move-in, Welcome Week, Family Weekend, and divisional projects, ensuring alignment with divisional and institutional goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Represent and support Student Life committees and cross-functional teams (E.g., CARE team, social media partners).</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a key resource for students, providing guidance on institutional policies, student support services, and academic success resources. Manage complex student processes, including leave requests, conduct verifications, and referrals for student concerns. This includes proactive communication with students on critical issues related to their success and well-being.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise and mentor student employees, providing training, project oversight, and performance feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee digital communications by managing divisional website content, coordinating/disseminating parent and student event newsletters, managing divisional social media accounts (Instagram & Facebook), and create and review digital graphics/hardcopy publications based on branding guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Create ongoing social media posting strategies and training for divisional offices based on current trends and divisional policies in collaboration with the college's communications team.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage student data within key systems (Slate, Maxient, Workday, CRM), ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement divisional technology solutions that streamline student services and enhance efficiency within the division. Assist the Director of Student Life Operations with developing this technology.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct, coordinate, and analyze divisional data assessments and research to inform decision-making and enhance student outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Regular on-campus attendance is an essential function in performing the duties of this position.</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree required.</p> </li><li> <p>Three years of professional experience in a student support, operations, or administrative role is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in a college/university setting, especially in an administrative or communications role, is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively with students and their families, faculty, and staff. Must exhibit professionalism and diplomacy in working effectively with diverse constituencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in managing complex student concerns and operational processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong technology proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and database management (e.g., Slate, Maxient, Workday preferred) is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and excellent written and oral communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and make data-informed decisions.</p> </li><li> <p>This position requires some evening and weekend work, including but not limited to emergencies and annual events.</p> </li><li> <p>This position requires a valid driver's license, good driving record, and must be insurable by the College's insurance carrier.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience with Canva and Adobe for communications and marketing efforts is highly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with student affairs frameworks and best practices in higher education is preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>A general office environment that requires sitting constantly. The candidate will frequently perform computer work, keyboard use, and telecommunications. Manual dexterity will be required to perform keyboard and writing activities frequently. Visual acuity is needed often to read and review print and electronic documents. Reaching and pushing/pulling with a force of up to 10 lbs. will be performed rarely. The mobility of the candidate will be sufficient to allow moving about the office and to and from the building occasionally.
