<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>National Heritage Academies (NHA) operates a growing network of K-12 schools across the country, in multiple states. The Director of Leadership Development and Culture partners with various teams (School Quality, Curriculum and Instruction, Events, etc.) throughout NHA in providing leadership development for all academic leaders. This includes promoting and achieving mastery in the dean, principal, and director of school quality roles, identifying and cultivating promising internal leadership candidates, and assimilating external leaders. The incumbent will also be charged with developing and maintaining the vision, strategies, and tactics associated with establishing world-class learning culture in the NHA network. This includes the specific development required of teachers and school leaders in how they foster a welcoming environment conducive of student learning which promotes student responsibility and parental partnership. The position reports to the Executive Director of Curriculum and Professional Development.</p> <p>This is an in-person position at our NHA Service Center located at 3850 Broadmoor Ave., Grand Rapids, MI.</p> <p>COMPANY INFORMATION:</p> <p>National Heritage Academies (NHA) partners with communities to build and operate public charter schools. Join our team.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Lead the teams dedicated to development and capacity building in current and future deans, principals, and director of school quality.</p> <p>Partner with school quality to develop principals.</p> <p>Design and deliver effective learning experiences through NHA's summer Leadership Summit and Principal Series.</p> <p>Develop and maintain a high-quality internal pipeline of potential dean, principal, and director of school quality candidates.</p> <p>Contribute to the design of NHA's leadership evaluation system.</p> <p>Create and operate a best-practice clearinghouse for dean success.</p> <p>Provide support as needed for all existing leadership development programs (Dean Prep Academy (DPA), dean and principal mentorship, Principal Prep Academy (PPA), etc).</p> <p>Coordinate with the school quality team for development needs of deans across the network.</p> <p>Update and maintain a transition process for external leader hires that will rapidly assimilate them to NHA culture, language, practices, and values.</p> <p>Create and deliver regular ongoing systemic leadership development using all available media --- audio, video, print, social media, in-person.</p> <p>Leads the implementation of virtual monthly learning modules for principals and deans.</p> <p>Leads the implementation of NHA learning cultural practices.</p> <p>Partner with the curriculum team to deliver annual content to all schools.</p> <p>Provides the vision and maintains a strategic plan for learning culture at NHA.</p> <p>Additional duties as assigned.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Deep knowledge of classroom instruction, team building, school leadership, and building la culture of learning.</p> <p>Strong written and verbal skills.</p> <p>Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills.</p> <p>Knowledge of adult teaching and learning theory.</p> <p>Ability and willingness for periodic travel.</p> <p>Ability to work independently, as a member of the department, and as a team member.</p> <p>Strong background in delivering professional development both in-person and virtually.</p> <p>History of success building and maintaining high quality systems leading to positive culture in an educational setting.</p> <p>Minimum 5 years of experience as School Principal and/or 3 years of experience in leadership development.</p> <p>Prior experience as an Assistant Principal/Dean and Principal is preferred.</p> <p>Master's degree or higher in Education or related field is preferred.</p> <p>Please click here to learn more about our core values.</p> <p>National Heritage Academies is an equal opportunity employer.</p>
