<p>HUBER HEIGHTS CITY SCHOOLS</p> <p>CLASSIFIED POSITION VACANCY</p> <p>2023-2024</p> <p>CLASSIFICATION: Substitute Bus Aide</p> <p>LOCATION: Transportation</p> <p>SALARY RANGE: $17.88 Per Hour</p> <p>LENGTH OF WORK DAY: Various hours</p> <p>Monday-Friday</p> <p>LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: School Year</p> <p>DATE OF POSTING: August 16, 2023</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have a positive working relationship with bus driver, parents, and students with disabilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be physically able to perform duties for students in wheelchairs or with other special needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>CPI training is required. Training will be scheduled and provided by HHCS.</p> </li></ul> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus. </li><li>Inspects transportation list of students to prevent unauthorized travel. </li><li>Assists young or students with disabilities in getting on and off the bus. </li><li>Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion, and safely to parent/guardian or school personnel. </li><li>Provides written records of violations of the student code to the Transportation Supervisor. </li><li>Reports disruptive students to the appropriate authorities where the child is enrolled. </li><li>Collects and turns over to the transportation secretary those personal items left on the bus by students. </li><li>Attends meetings as requested by the Transportation Supervisor. </li><li>Completes all necessary forms as required and turns them in on time. </li><li>Communication between school staff and parents. </li><li>Follows all policies adopted by the Board of Education, and laws set forth by the local and state government. </li><li>Other duties as may be directed by the Transportation Supervisor. </li></ul>
