<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>A/A Administrative Aide</p> <p>US-CT-Groton</p> <p>Job ID: 2025-15215</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p># of Openings: 1</p> <p>Category: Administrative</p> <p>EB Groton Shipyard</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Manager of Non-Metallic Materials and Robotics Engineering. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task. The candidate shall exhibit a strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team setting. Previous experience as an Administrative Aide is strongly preferred. The candidate will be required to interface with different EB employees and personnel outside the company. The Non-Metallic Materials and Robotics Engineering administrative aide will be responsible for all administrative functions for D343 Non-Metallic Materials and Robotics Engineering, which includes but is not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Word processing and EB Correspondence </li><li>Distribute Documentation </li><li>Update and maintain department web page information </li><li>Assign and control file numbers </li><li>Cornerstone Administration for Employees </li><li>RADCON coordination for drills </li><li>Ordering and maintaining supplies (i.e. Staples, Oracle, P-Card, Material Requisitions) </li><li>Complete required accounting paperwork for material orders </li><li>Process visit requests for department employees </li><li>Maintain department records </li><li>Payroll and associated activities </li><li>Mail pickup and delivery </li><li>Maintain department organization charts </li><li>Facilities coordinator (i.e. new hires, moves, trouble ticket requests) </li><li>Maintain department commitment report database, send out weekly reports </li><li>Service Award Coordination </li><li>IT software and hardware and Communication requests </li><li>Employee severance and retirement preparation </li><li>Maintain logs (Oracle Reqs, MRPII Orders, Facilities Requests, IT Requests, etc.) </li><li>Print out weekly safety briefs for Laboratory Technicians </li><li>Complete Monthly metrics for the Department </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access </li><li>Ability to routinely multitask </li><li>Time Management </li><li>Organization </li><li>Communication - Written and Verbal </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>2-5 years of Administrative, Reception, or Clerical experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree </li><li>Previous defense industry experience </li><li>Previous experience at Electric Boat </li></ul>
