Utilizing your learned skills and knowledge, you will perform accurate and appropriate techniques to facilitate a streamlined process, all while ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed. This position provides an excellent opportunity to not only enhance quality of care but also allows you to gain hands-on experience, build meaningful caregiver relationships and find your place within an exciting, innovative healthcare system.</p> <p>A caregiver in this role works 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. during the week, with a weekend rotation of 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform radiology exams and fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform ED/surgical procedures (trauma cases, fluoroscopic exams to include vascular, general medicine, ortho, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, pediatrics, and general procedures) in a sterile environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Produce images of optimal quality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in scheduling patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and determine priority of patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate the care and operation of radiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Radiologists, physicians and surgeons with procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and radiology students.</p> </li><li> <p>Continually strive to learn new technical information and skills through attending periodic in-service programs and participating in professional affiliation sessions.</p> </li><li> <p>Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities and locations as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PAC</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of billing via RIS</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $29.00</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $44.50</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
