This role includes supervising payroll staff, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise Payroll Staff: Oversee payroll coordinators, clerks, and other payroll staff. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations. </li><li>Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including wages, benefits, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related transactions. </li><li>Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance. </li><li>Record Keeping: Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, tax withholding, direct deposit details, and timekeeping records. </li><li>Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies promptly. Handle employee inquiries related to payroll. </li><li>System Management: Oversee the payroll system, ensuring it is up-to-date and functioning properly. Implement updates and changes as necessary. </li><li>Reporting: Prepare and present payroll reports for management, including summaries of payroll expenses, tax liabilities, and other relevant metrics. </li><li>Training and Development: Provide training and support to payroll staff and other departments regarding payroll policies and procedures. </li><li>Audit Preparation: Prepare for and assist with payroll audits. Ensure all documentation and processes are in order for internal and external audits. </li><li>Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a Lead role. </li><li>Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of payroll practices, regulations, and laws. Familiarity with payroll software and systems. </li><li>Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
