<p>CAMDEN COUNTY TECHNICAL SCHOOLS</p> <p>POSITION DESCRIPTION</p> <p>TITLE:</p> <p>TEACHERS (2) OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES</p> <p>2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR</p> <p>GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP CAMPUS</p> <p>Deadline: This position will be filled in no less than ten (10) days after the date of this posting.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Valid New Jersey Teacher of Handicapped and/or Students with Disabilities certificate.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge in certificated area and effective teaching methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Thorough knowledge of Industry Standards/New Jersey Student Learning Standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Thorough knowledge and familiarity with instructional technologies.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain a safe, secure and caring learning environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate with parents/guardians.</p> </li><li> <p>Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.</p> </li><li> <p>Meets the health qualifications required of all personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment.</p> </li><li> <p>Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Technical Schools' Nepotism Policy, File Code: - 0142.1.</p> </li></ol> <p>Salary/Position: Full-Time, 10-month position; salary and benefits as determined by the Cam/Voc Agreement</p> <p>Salary Guide plus a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 to the hired candidate for this position.</p> effective working relationships with parents and other staff members.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Supervisor assigned per the CCTS' Organizational Chart</p> <p>PERFORMANCE</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Participate in the evaluation, classification, and placement of all students with disabilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer, score, and evaluate standard achievement tests for the purpose of assessing the</p> </li></ol> <p>educational needs of those students referred.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Interpret the results of achievement testing and assist in the </li></ol> <p>development and implementation of an appropriate IEP for</p> <p>each student requiring special education and/or related</p> <p>services.</p> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Participate in the ongoing evaluation of the educational progress of classified students.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a case manager as assigned and maintain appropriate case records.</p> </li><li> <p>Interact in a consultant capacity with instructional staff, administrators, parents, pupils,</p> </li></ol> <p>fellow CST members, guidance counselors, speech and language specialists and health</p> <p>services staff, as needed.</p> <ol start="7"> <li> <p>Maintain professional competence through continuing education and other professional growth activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform all duties required as a member of the child study team by administrative code, state and federal laws,</p> </li></ol> <p>and board policy.</p> <ol start="9"> <li>Works to achieve common core state standards and district educational goals and objectives by promoting </li></ol> <p>active learning in the classroom using Board-adopted curriculum and other appropriate learning activities.</p> <ol start="10"> <li>Demonstrates a knowledge, understanding, and application of subject matter and its implementation </li></ol> <p>within the framework of current evaluation model.</p> <ol start="11"> <li>Develops and submits lesson plans which adapt the curriculum to the needs of the student through </li></ol> <p>use of individual and small group instruction, appropriate modifications and accommodations, and other</p> <p>needed supports.</p> <ol start="12"> <li>Sets specific objectives wherever possible in lesson preparation and weekly lesson plans and carries through </li></ol> <p>presentation to effectively achieve these objectives.</p> <ol start="13"> <li>Prepares, maintains, reviews, and utilizes a variety of data to document and monitor student progress </li></ol> <p>(including IEPs as needed) to improve student performance.</p> <ol start="14"> <li>Collaborates with instructional staff, school personnel, parents, and community resources in order to </li></ol> <p>improve quality of instruction and student performance, being mindful of student needs and interests.</p> <ol start="15"> <li> <p>Budgets class time effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with parents through conferences, and other means, to inform them about the school program</p> </li></ol> <p>and to discussstudent's progress.</p> <ol start="17"> <li> <p>Devises assignments and assessments that require higher level thinking (Bloom's Taxonomy.)</p> </li><li> <p>Supervisesstudents in out-of classroom activities as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Continuously uses professional development activities to remain current, grow professionally, and</p> </li></ol> <p>cultivate competency in emerging trends, research, and techniques.</p> <ol start="20"> <li> <p>Participates in IEP, CST, school-level planning and faculty meetings/committees, and other school system groups.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops, establishes, and reinforces rules for procedures and classroom behavior management, in</p> </li></ol> <p>correlation with school, district, and Board policies, in order to promote a positive and safe learning environment,</p> <p>conducive to promoting student achievement.</p> <ol start="22"> <li>Collaborates, completes, and implements teacher specific sections of the IEP that includes: Goals and Objectives, </li></ol> <p>Modification and Accommodations, Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP), etc.</p> <ol start="23"> <li> <p>Maintains a high standard of ethical professional conduct when dealing with associates, parents, students, and other members of the community.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates proficient technology skills and software usage relating to IEPs, lesson delivery, and accessing</p> </li></ol> <p>student information.</p> <ol start="25"> <li> <p>Directs the classroom aides, when appropriate, by effectively utilizing them to meet the students' needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides information in the development of student IEPs, progress reports, etc., by working closely with CST</p> </li></ol> <p>to ensure compliance with New Jersey Administrative Code.</p> <ol start="27"> <li>Performs other duties, as assigned by the Director of Special Services and/or Building Principal, which </li></ol> <p>shall fall within the scope of his/her employment and certification per the CCTS' Organizational Chart or designee.</p> <p>Revised:
