<p>Hiring for a Quality Engineer in Agawam, MA!</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer III to implement and maintain engineering and quality processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality of manufactured goods from the delivery of raw materials to the final product. The successful candidate will continuously assess processes and recommend improvements while working closely with other departments to ensure seamless production, efficiency, quality, and safety.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design, document, and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection. </li><li>Conduct root cause analysis using applicable tools to develop and implement robust solutions or improvements. </li><li>Manage large projects to ensure timelines are met and appropriate resources have proper communication and direction. </li><li>Conduct internal quality system audits. </li><li>Facilitate and lead CAPA meetings and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution. </li><li>Lead advanced product quality planning (APQP) processes to ensure product and process validation and verification. </li><li>Develop and maintain tools for Quality System metric reporting and ensure accurate reporting. </li><li>Collaborate with the engineering team using past performance data to prevent future issues, utilizing tools such as DOE, DFM, FMEAs, GD&T, process capability, and Six Sigma designs. </li><li>Assist in the disposition process by conducting failure analysis and suggesting corrective actions as a Material Review Board member. </li><li>Lead and develop New Employee Orientation Blue Print Reading Training and coordinate additional quality training programs with the Human Resources Department. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in quality engineering and ISO 9001 standards. </li><li>Experience in medical device manufacturing and quality management. </li><li>Strong skills in root cause analysis. </li><li>5-7 years of recent, relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in Medical Systems and ISO audits is preferred. </li><li>Auditing experience is advantageous. </li><li>Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems and audit requirements. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Join a newer team within a medical device specialty division where you will have the opportunity to build and shape your role.
