<p>BASIC FUNCTION</p> <p>This position is responsible for conducting the Indiana Risk Assessment System's Assessments, and</p> <p>supporting Assessments as required by the courts in order to determine their risk level and eligibility for</p> <p>components in Clark County's Problem-solving Courts.</p> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS</p> <p>Reports to: Elizabeth Starck, Division Chief</p> <p>Probation Officer</p> <p>Supervises: This position has no supervisory</p> <p>responsibilities.</p> <p>SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>"*" denotes an essential function of the job</p> <p>A. *Conduct IRAS Assessments on prospective program participants and send a letter to the</p> <p>respective Program Coordinator once assessment is completed</p> <p>B. *Conduct additional assessments including: Adverse Childhood Experiences, Drug</p> <p>Abuse Screening Tool (DAST-20), Short Michigan Alcohol Screening, Violent Risk</p> <p>Appraisal Guide Revised, Criminal Sentiments Scale and TCU Treatment</p> <p>Motivation Scales, Impaired Driving Assessment (IDA), Texas Christian Drug Screen</p> <p>5(TCU-5), Patient Health Questionnaire 9 (PQH-9), PCL- 5, Mental Health Screening</p> <p>Form III (MHSF-III)</p> <p>C. *Identify for the Coordinators any medical issues, mental health issues, or active warrant</p> <p>an offender may have prior to sentencing.</p> <p>D. *Request NCIC checks from the Sheriff's Department to complete the IRAS and for all</p> <p>prospective participants.</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>Assessment Officer 2 - Revised:</p> <p>September 2019</p> <p>Initials: <strong>____</strong></p> <p>E. *Maintain current and accurate records of all clients assessed until either placed or</p> <p>denied entry into the Programs.</p> <p>F. Participate in Problem Solving Court meetings as needed.</p> <p>G. Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>A. Ability to work as a team member.</p> <p>B. Display professional appearance, warm demeanor and positive attitude.</p> <p>C. Be a motivated self-starter.</p> <p>D. Work independently and to be accurate, efficient and organized.</p> <p>E. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</p> <p>F. Work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment.</p> <p>G. Ability to testify in court and be questioned by prosecutors, judges and defense attorneys.</p> <p>H.
