Together, we have the energy to change the world!</p> <p>Key responsibilities/essential functions include:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver design work packages for hydro generator projects using technical guidelines and reference projects; </li><li>Collaborate with other engineering COEs (Center Of Excellence) worldwide; </li><li>Participate to & lead design review meetings with other engineers, functions and consulting Engineers. </li><li>Supervise the work of design engineers and draftsmen to Deliver design calculations, technical specifications, drawings and BOM's. </li><li>Provide technical support to supply chain and site teams during the entire lifecycle of the generator components. </li><li>Apply rules and concepts for reliability, quality, safety and cost. </li><li>Collaborate with and assist project engineering managers in project execution. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college </li><li>Strong skills in strength of materials, </li><li>Good knowledge of non-destructive examinations methods, materials and welding </li><li>Minimum of 5 years' experience in generator mechanical design (stators, rotors, bearings, brackets) </li><li>Pro-activeness, sense of urgency, autonomy. </li><li>Established communication and leadership skills; </li><li>Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-locational environment; </li><li>Good analytical skills </li><li>Team player, positive, willingness to learn & adapt to business needs </li><li>Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in their state, or eligible to become licensed in the short term. </li><li>Willingness and availability to occasionally travel in North America </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications/Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of CAD tools </li><li>Experience in hydro industry </li></ul> <p>At GE Vernova, we value our employees and offer a comprehensive package to support your well-being and professional growth.</p> <p>The salary range for this position is $88,000.00-$118,100.00 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
