You can also participate in our 401(k) plan with company match and explore post-tax Roth IRA options to secure your financial future. </li><li>Established Legacy: Join a team of over 1000 employees contributing to our success since 1960, with a proven track record of excellence in mechanical contracting. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the successful management of commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing projects, while gaining skills and experience needed to become a Project Manager. </li><li>Assist Project Manager (PM) with total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design specifications, budget and schedule. </li><li>Interface with client representatives, subcontractors, vendors, etc. </li><li>Review, select, and submit project documents in collaboration with PM and project supervision and in accordance with the construction schedule (Ex. Submittals, shop drawings, RFI's, subcontracts, operation and maintenance manuals, etc.). </li><li>Provide field employees with the necessary support to allow the project to be completed expeditiously. </li><li>Assist PM in extra work estimating and issuance of change orders. </li><li>Assist PM with equipment releases and tracking. </li><li>Support construction project meeting attendance and documentation. </li><li>Act as liaison between trades and other departments within the company. </li><li>Distribute, follow up, and respond in writing to all punch list items in a timely manner. </li><li>Conduct on site visits to gain field experience required to ascertaining productivity of trades, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project. </li><li>Gain industry knowledge to provide technical assistance and support, i.e., engineering, interpretation of drawings, recommendation of construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. </li><li>Participate in weekly staff and project management meetings. </li><li>Perform additional tasks assignments per PM and Regional Manager's direction to support branch and company operational efforts. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent combination of previous construction and/or engineering office related experience. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel. </li><li>This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment. Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury. </li><li>Esta posición requiere la capacidad de levantar y transportar materiales de hasta 50 libras de manera frecuente.
