<p>Department: Maintenance</p> <p>Job Title: Facilities Assistant</p> <p>Shift: 2nd (2pm -10pm) (M-F)</p> <p>Food Safety Role & Responsibility:</p> <p>As an individual, the incumbent must understand the Food Safety Statement, complete the required training, perform work assignments in accordance with training and display an acceptable level of competency with all Quality Assurance/Safety/Security policies and training requirements. Areas of food safety training will include, but are not limited to, GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Statement, FSSC 22000/Global Food Safety Policy/Food Safety Goals, Visitor/Food/Site Security, Emergency Preparedness, and Blood borne Pathogens.</p> <p>The individual must also request additional and/or refresher training if he or she feels that it is needed to effectively perform requirements in specific areas of responsibility.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The incumbent is responsible for Facilities maintenance inside and outside on the buildings.</p> <p>Job Function Statements - Essential Functions:</p> <p>An Outside Maintenance associate (facilities assistant) is expected to perform the following essential job functions:</p> <ul> <li>Operate a forklift, pallet jack, riding tractor, hydraulic recycle baler, trash compactor, snowplow, and various other powered tools and hand tools. Incumbent must be able to perform equipment prestart up inspection forms and follow all safety requirements for the equipment based on manufacturers recommendations. </li><li>Load/unload equipment, materials, recyclables, and other material handling tasks. </li><li>Maintain buildings and grounds. Washing, sweeping, trash pickup, painting, trimming, shoveling, and other maintenance related tasks as needed. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Communication Skills: verbal and written; must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization </li></ul> <p>Other Desired Qualifications/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual in English/Spanish </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>One year of Sit - down forklift </li></ul> <p>Education/Training:</p> <ul> <li>Powered Industrial Truck license, PA driver's license. </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed, as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
