<p>Mercy Community Healthcare is looking for an energetic, self-motivated Spanish Interpreter, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those we serve in our community.</p> <p>Mercy's Mission: The mission of Mercy Community Healthcare is to reflect the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by providing excellent healthcare to ALL and support to their families. We provide care to the uninsured, underinsured and insured through pediatric and adult primary care, mental and behavioral health services, and care coordination.</p> <p>The Spanish Interpreter position exists to provide interpretation and translation services to Mercy Community Healthcare's Spanish-speaking population. The Spanish Interpreter is responsible for offering Spanish interpretation and translation services to Mercy Community Healthcare's Spanish-speaking population. Assigned tasks include interpreting for clinical visits such as provider office visits, nurse and lab visits, mental health visits including counseling and psychiatry.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>Assist providers and other staff with fluent Spanish interpretation and translation services. Requires ability to work multi-disciplinary team.</p> <p>Shall provide fluent interpretation and translation services to Spanish speaking patients.</p> <p>Shall provide fluent interpretation and translation services for medical providers, medical staff, psychiatry providers, and counseling providers.</p> <p>Obtain pertinent information from patients and/or family members as it relates to patient care. Accurately collects patient information and relays information to provider or staff members.</p> <p>Assure patient confidentiality as defined by HIPAA and Mercy Community Healthcare compliance program.</p> <p>Displays conduct that fosters growth and development of a professional and harmonious work environment.</p> <p>Must demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity of cultural diversity and the various socioeconomic levels of our patients, families, and staff members.</p> <p>Other duties assigned by supervisor as required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education: Minimum of High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Certification as a medical interpreter preferred.</p> <p>Experience: At least 2 years' experience in interpretation and translation in a medical facility.</p> <p>Required Skills/Abilities</p> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.</p> <p>Above average interpersonal and customer service skills required.</p> <p>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail abilities required.</p> <p>Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines required.</p> <p>Basic analytical and problem-solving skills required.</p> <p>Basic Microsoft Office skills required.</p> <p>Basic eClinicalWorks EMR skills desired.</p>
