This position supports the district's mission to empower students to achieve greatness through academic, athletic, and personal excellence. The Assistant Athletic Director will assist in overseeing the administration, coordination, and supervision of the district's interscholastic athletic programs, with a primary focus on compliance, event management, and student-athlete development.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist the Athletic Director in planning, organizing, and supervising all athletic programs (grades 7-12).</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with OHSAA rules, league guidelines, district policies, and academic eligibility requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate game/event logistics, including scheduling officials, transportation, facilities, and security.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend and supervise home and select away athletic events.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote positive sportsmanship and character development among student-athletes and coaches.</p> </li><li> <p>Support coaches in planning, professional development, and conflict resolution.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the management of athletic budgets, purchasing, and inventory of equipment and uniforms.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain communication with families, media, and community stakeholders to promote Warrior Athletics.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with school administrators on student discipline and academic support for athletes.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or High School Principal.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid Ohio teaching license or ability to obtain one preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Coaching or athletic administration experience strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work evenings and weekends.</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to the academic success of all students.</p> </li></ul> <p>Terms of Employment:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Full-time, 185 day teaching contract plus supplemental contract for athletic duties</p> </li><li> <p>Salary based on teaching experience and district teacher salary schedule and supplemental salary schedule</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent benefits package</p> </li></ul> <p>How to Apply:</p> <p>Interested candidates should submit an application via the Winton Woods City Schools AppliTrack system at:</p> <p>Please include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cover Letter</p> </li><li> <p>Resume</p> </li><li> <p>Copy of appropriate licensure/certification</p> </li><li> <p>Three professional references</p> </li></ul> <p>Winton Woods City Schools does not discriminate nor tolerate harassment in its employment opportunities, educational programs or activities for any reason including on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, military status, ancestry, sexual orientation, age or genetic information.</p>
