<p>05109 Central Sterile Supply Tech STRHS-Lawrenceburg Job Description</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Collects, decontaminates, stores and distributes all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital.</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Surgical Services</p> <p>FLSA: Non-exempt</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.</p> <p>Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.</p> <p>Provides customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need.</p> <p>Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.</p> <p>Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.</p> <p>Nonessential Functions</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.• Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.• Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.• Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.• Accepts all call schedule as directed.• Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.</p> <p>Organizational Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Compliance to the STRH - Lawrenceburg Standards of Performance is required.• Compliance to Dress Code Standards• Should this job description be filled by a PRN employee, they will be subject to the requirements of that position. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>Minimum EducationX High school diploma or equivalent X Required</p> <p>X Graduate of a Program in Discipline X Preferred</p> <p>Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
