<p>Colby-Sawyer College is a comprehensive liberal arts-based institution located in the scenic Lake Sunapee area of New Hampshire. Under these circumstances, the college will coordinate the investigation and resolution efforts outlined in the college's Sex-based Discrimination and Sex-based Harassment Policy and Grievance Procedures as well as the Code of Community Responsibility (for students) and Employee Handbook (for employees), to address harassment related to the targeted individual's sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression together with the conduct related to the targeted individual's race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age or disability.</p> <p>Under the direction of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the admissions counselor supports all activities related to recruiting undergraduate first year and transfer students for Colby-Sawyer College. The admissions counselor is a results-oriented person responsible for promoting the college to prospective students, families, school counselors and other community partners in a variety of settings both on and off campus.</p> <p>The admissions counselor will travel extensively within an assigned geographic territory during the fall and spring semesters to visit high schools, attend college fairs, and host off-campus recruitment programs sponsored by the college. The admissions counselor will also participate in a wide variety of admissions recruitment functions such as conducting admissions presentations, review of applications, and conduct regular outreach to students.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Recruitment Efforts</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plans and executes recruitment travel in assigned geographic territory during key seasons of the year which include:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Visiting high schools <p></p> </li><li> <p>Attending college nights and fairs</p> </li><li> <p>Meeting with prospective students, parents, school counselors and other community partners</p> </li><li> <p>Creates and maintains positive working relationships with high school counselors within assigned geographic territories.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in admissions recruitment visit programs both on and off campus such as hosting visiting families during campus tours, providing campus tours as needed, staffing open houses, staffing admitted students' days and other related initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform regular outreach to prospective students based on information in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software which includes but is not limited to telephone calls, email, video conferencing such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams and text messaging.</p> </li></ul> <p>Admissions Efforts</p> <ul> <li>Evaluates prospective student applications for admission and potential scholarship. </li><li>Review transcripts and contact school counseling offices for needed or additional information. </li><li>Respond to all student, parent and school counselor questions or requests regarding admissions requirements, program information and application information. </li><li>Assist with office operational needs where appropriate including data entry, telephone and other administrative duties. </li></ul> <p>Additional Functions</p> <ul> <li>Collaborates with Director, associate/assistant directors, and others to develop, manage and implement enrollment initiatives that support new student enrollment goals. </li><li>Completes various administrative functions as needed. </li><li>Completes special projects and other duties as assigned. </li><li>Bachelor's degree required. </li><li>Ability to work effectively and build positive working relationships with students, colleagues, administrators and other constituencies of all levels. </li><li>The ability to travel extensively during travel seasons and to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment. Must have a valid driver's license. </li><li>Evening and weekend hours required, especially during travel seasons. </li><li>Skill in communicating verbally and in writing, including group presentations and one-on-one interviews and advising meetings. </li><li>Skill in navigating and using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform and video conferencing software such as Zoom. </li><li>An ability and aptitude to work independently and responsibly using strong decision-making skills to prioritize competing opportunities and needs in a busy environment. </li><li>An ability to not only work independently, as well as on a team and prioritize work to best achieve goals. </li><li>Able to effectively prioritize, organize, and complete multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. </li><li>Able to analyze and interpret data. </li></ul>
