<p>UPMC Revenue Cycle is hiring a Manager to support Patient Arrival staff at UPMC Magee. The position will typically work Monday through Friday, occasionally assisting with weekend and holiday coverage to help maintain staffing levels. Primarily, this role will work during daylight shifts, however, we are looking for someone flexible and willing to support staff during all shifts (day, evening, and night) that are required for working in the Emergency Department.</p> <p>Under the guidance of leadership, the Manager provides for the utilization of resources to deliver quality intake services to our customers and to contribute to the achievement of the organizations financial objectives. The Manager is primarily responsible for the direct oversight of the day to day operations of the Patient Access Department, supporting the registration activities of patients, financial counseling, scheduling and all revenue functions. Need to demonstrate through plans and actions that there is a consistent standard of excellence to which all work is to conform. The Manager will ensure a positive customer service atmosphere in all interactions. The Manager shall demonstrate the philosophy and core values of UPMC in the performance of duties.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>Oversees the 24/7, including weekends and holidays, operations of the on-site Arrival staff which includes on call coverage, working vacant shifts, call offs and absences. </li><li>Carry out special assignments or projects as assigned. </li><li>Communicate regularly and effectively with subordinates and superiors regarding the status of the business operation. </li><li>Complete or manage the completion of necessary human resource documentation, adhering to human resources expectations for associates, including compliance, related responsibilities, continuing education requirements, recognition of staff/team accomplishments etc. </li><li>Conduct new associate meet & greets and interviews, working with Talent Acquisition to finalize the hiring process. </li><li>Collaborate with the Sr. Manager and utilizes other resources regarding personal issues and/or situations that have real or potential impact on the department and/or institution. </li><li>Ensure that policies, procedures, job descriptions, reports and other documentation are properly followed. </li><li>Maintain work standards, KPI's and productivity for activities under the Managers control. </li><li>Manage ongoing training programs for staff development. </li><li>Participate on committees as assigned. </li><li>Performs duties and job responsibilities in a manner which promotes the core values of UPMC (Quality and Safety; Dignity and Respect; Caring and Listening; Excellence and Innovation; Responsibility and Integrity) in consumers and UPMC interactions. </li><li>Responsible for budget reconciliation. </li><li>Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, OR High School and four years of relevant experience required. </li><li>Previous supervisory or management experience required. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of third-party payer billing requirements, reimbursement practices and regulatory requirements in both a provider and facility setting. </li><li>Must be an individual committed to the core values of the organization who possesses the ability to influence others commitment to those values and practices in the workplace. </li><li>Must be able to effectively manage multiple processes and priorities while meeting customer expectations. </li><li>Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively problem solve. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>Act 34 </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
