<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Description Summary:</p> <p>The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas to teach introductory and intermediate Economics courses for the Fall 2025 semester.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and present lectures. </li><li>Meet with students as needed to answer questions. </li><li>Respond to student queries (e.g. email or voice mail) as needed, in a reasonably timely manner. </li><li>Write, administer, and grade all student assignments and exams. </li><li>Compute grades and submit them on time. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Economics from an accredited college, university or a foreign equivalency. </li><li>Master's degree in one of the following disciplines and 18 graduate-level credits in Political Science or Government from an accredited college or university or a foreign equivalency: Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, Environmental/Natural Resource Economics, Finance/Financial Economics, Law and Economics </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>College teaching experience. </li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Product suite. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>To be considered, please submit a resume and cover letter at time of application, including availability to teach. </li><li>The three (3) references listed on the application must be professional references, and one of those must be a current or previous supervisor. Finalists will be contacted prior to reference checking. </li><li>Offers are contingent on the completion of a post-offer background check, and official transcripts are required upon hire. </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <ul> <li>Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $1,483/credit hour.
